Best Place
to Grow™

Principles

Eight principles decide everything else

Indicators, thresholds and gates can be revised. These principles cannot be revised quietly: they define what Best Place to Grow™ is willing to measure, and what it refuses to do.

We publish what we know, what we do not know, and what we are still testing.

  1. 01

    People, not employer promises

We measure what people actually experience and become - not what an employer says it provides.

  2. 02

    Evidence, not declaration

Policies alone are not proof. Every claim must be supported by verified evidence.

  3. 03

    Outcomes, not activity

Training hours and programme participation matter less than skills acquired, mobility achieved and employability gained.

  4. 04

    Growth for everyone

A growth environment cannot be certified if opportunity is concentrated among a privileged minority.

  5. 05

    Sustainable Growth

Professional development obtained by systematically consuming people's health or personal life is not growth.

  6. 06

    Organizations are scored, never people

Best Place to Grow™ evaluates environments. It never assigns a global score to an individual.

  7. 07

    Independent decisions

Commercial relationships cannot influence audit, scoring or certification decisions.

  8. 08

    Radical transparency

Methodology, thresholds, refusals, suspensions and conflicts of interest must be visible.

What follows from them

A certification that cannot be refused is not a certification.

Principle 07 is why the commercial team cannot audit, score or vote. Principle 06 is why no individual ever receives a global human score. Principle 08 is why refusals, suspensions and conflicts of interest are published rather than managed.
